Obituary of Sandra Miriam Steinhauer

Sandra Miriam Steinhauer, age 78, of Las Vegas, died Saturday, November 7, 2015. Sandra was born December 1, 1936 in St. Louis MO to the late Rueben and the late Betty (Pastel) Rifkin. She married her husband, Sheldon in 1957, while he was in the Air Force, and they moved to California shortly after. She had a career in worker's compensation claims. Sandra was a gourmet cook who could elegantly host a party for 70 people. She also enjoyed playing mah jong, reading, travel, and mostly spending quality time with her grandchildren. Sandra is survived by her husband of 58 years, Sheldon Steinhauer; children Lee (Bettina) Steinhauer, Alisa Steinhauer-Mandler and Dana (Mark) Fausner; grandchildren Max Steinhauer, Ryan Steinhauer, Shane Fausner, Riley Fausner and LiLi Dong-Mandler; and sister Beverly Gruber. She is predeceased by her brother Alan Rifkin. A funeral service will be held at 8 AM on Thursday, Novemer 12 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89052.
