Obituary of Philip Stanley Miranda

Philip Stanley Miranda, III, age 74, of Las Vegas, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015. Mr. Miranda was born June 2, 1941 in Brawley, CA to the late Philip and the late Carmel (Gomez) Miranda. Philip was a patriot and a leader. He proudly served in the United States Army for over 20 years, including during the Vietnam War. He was a Sergeant First Class and was awarded the Bronze Star medal. In his free time, Philip enjoyed playing golf and watching football or horse racing. He is survived by his wife, Nadine (Bettencourt) Miranda; sons Philip Miranda IV and James Miranda; two brothers and a sister. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm on Monday, July 20, 2015 at Palm Mortuary & Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV.
