Obituary of Joyce Carolyn Hughes

Joyce Carolyn Martin Hughes, age 72, passed away on June 13th, 2015 at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada after a long 9 month struggle with several illnesses but is no longer in pain and at peace. She was a very strong, loving wife and mother that fought until the end and now is watching over us in Heaven. Joyce was born in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Robert Buck Martin (Father) and the late Omah Jane Jansen (Mother) on December 23rd, 1942. Joyce is survived by her Husband of 53 years (Wayne Hughes) and her Daugther (Rhonda Hughes). She is also survived by her two sisters (Tami Jansen and Diane Matzie), three Sisters-In-Law (Brenda Hughes, Dee Hughes, Loretta Newell), one Brother Robert Marin Jr., two Brothers-In-Law (Jeff Matzie and Bobby Hughes), two Aunts (Doris Webb and Angie Jansen), two Cousins (Ruby Montgomery and John Paschal), one Nephew James Watson and one Niece Nancy Watson-Hein. She enjoyed reading, traveling and being with her family. She had many cats in her life and is survived by 3 now (Moxy, Precious and Missy). Until we are together again she will be dearly missed and a void will forever be in our hearts. A celebration of Joyce's life will be held at our house at 6917 Hawaiian Sky court, Las Vegas, Nevada 89131 on June 27th at 2pm. She has been cremated and her ashes will remain with us.
