Obituary of Sonia Beltran Panganiban

Sonia Beltran Panganiban, age 76, of Las Vegas, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015. Sonia was born April 12, 1939 in the Philippines to the late Mariano De Mesa Beltran and the late Marcela Almanza Beltran. She earned a Master's in Law in the Philippines. Sonia and her family moved to the United States in 1993, living in Long Beach, before moving to Las Vegas 1994. In Las Vegas she worked as a uniform attendant in the casinos. Sonia enjoyed all types of arts and crafts, reading, growing roses, traveling, and cruises. She is survived by her husband Onofre Mendoza Panganiban; children Julius (Olive) Panganiban of San Pablo City, Philippines, Sheila (Giles) Kawahara of Bremerton WA, Ulysses (Sheila) Panganiban of Las Vegas; grandchildren Fedelis and Jean Oliver Panganiban, Grant, Geordan and Giselle Kawahara, Janel and Jaden Panganiban; brothers Juan (Marietta) Beltran, August Beltran, Lomie (Lily) Beltran, Ramon (Remy) Beltran; niece Marcia (Nelson) Habon and great niece Monique Habon and great nephew Nathan Habon. Memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2015, with a visitation from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV 89147. Services in the Philippines will be announced later.
