Obituary of Ping Qian

Ping Qian, 68, of Las Vegas, passed away April 10, 2015, at the Las Vegas Solari Hospice Care of Nevada. She was diagnose with late stage lung cancer and the cancer took her very quickly. We wished we had more time with her, but we are comforted by the fact that she did not suffer very much as she past. Ping Qian was born in Qing Shan Dian, China to Qian,Wang Yi and Sun, Pei Jun on October 02, 1946. She married at the age of 28 and had 2 sons, Philip and Cang. She received her education in China and was a school teacher when she lived in China until she immigrate to the United States of America in 1982 with her family. She was a dedicated and hard worker. She worked as a hotel attendant for Bellagio Hotel for many years before retiring. She was a devoted and loving mother. She was very proud of her family and was excited to become a “Grandma” to her 5 grandchildren. She loved family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She discovered and became practitioner of the self-cultivation practice of Falun Dafa, a discipline in which “assimilation to the highest qualities of the universe—Zhen, Shan, Ren (which translate to Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance)—is the foundation of practice. She made lots of new friends through this journey and many of you are here today. She embrace the practice and worked tirelessly to help spread the teachings to benefit her family and friends. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and modest demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, by her constant nurturing love and kindness. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, and laughter, will never be forgotten. She enjoyed helping others, practicing Falun Gong, reading and spending time with her family. Ping is preceded in death by her parents, Wang Yi and Pei Jun. Ping is survived by her sister Jean Qian of Shanghai, China; sons Philip Zhang and Cang Zhang; five grandchildren Zoe Zhang, Aili Zhang, Taisie Zhang, Tensie Zhang and Aria Zhang; and many other family members. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, well wishes, and support from all the family and friends – either through prayer and/or visits. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Solari Hospice Care Center for their support in her final days. Family and friends will gather for funeral service at Davis Funeral Home & Memorial Park on April 15, 2015 at 9:00 am. Kraft & Sussman Funeral Services are handling the funeral arrangements.
