Obituary of Saul Aaron Rosenthal

Saul Aaron Rosenthal, age 77, of North Las Vegas, passed away Thursday, April 21, 201l. Saul was born May 1, 1933 in Bronx, NY to the late Harry and the late Claire Ida (Kleiman) Rosenthal. He served in the Air Force from 07/14/1954 to 04/30/1972, retiring as a Major and earning numerous medals and commendations. He later became the Postmaster for Barstow CA. Saul was a member of the Jewish War Veterans and Disabled War Veterans. He was also a very active member of Midbar Kodesh Temple, organizing their library, participating in Hazak and a member of a chavurah. Saul is survived by his daughters Michelle Rosenthal of Las Vegas NV and Martha (Len) Tenzer of Deefield, IL; sons Jay (Joan) Rosenthal of Vienna VA and Harold (Sharon) Rosenthal of Camarillo CA; brother Marvin (Dahlia) Rosenthal of Huntington NY; sister Shirley (Eli) Jenny of Jericho NY; sister-in-law Barbara Askin of Tampa FL; and grandchildren Neil (Amy), Jennifer, Elizabeth, Victoria and Katherine. He is predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Sonia. A graveside service will be held 11:30 am on Friday, April 22 at the Temple Beth Sholom section of Woodlawn Cemetery, 1500 Las Vegas Blvd. North, Las Vegas, NV Donations in Saul's memory may be made to the Midbar Kodesh Temple Library, (702) 454-4848, 1940 Paseo Verde Parkway, Henderson, NV 89012.
