I met Richard in 1999, my second night in California. Along with amazing friends, Annette and Dennis, we stayed up all night laughing and smiling. I spent many nights after that with Richard doing the same. I know now that he is an angel who will laugh and smile with me forever. Rest in peace. xoxo

I first met Richard at Wherehouse Records in Eagle Rock in 1994 or 1995, he was the new guy and he totally gave me attitude. And when I bit back he said "damn" and we were great friends forever more. I found out he was also my neighbor in Highland Park, living only 8 blocks away with his Grandma Artemis. I remember him showing up to my house in fuzzy slippers and pajama pants on most weekend mornings and often had breakfast together. We'd start most of our days together for many years since we worked together for most of the 90s. After the record store era, he got a job in radio and got me in the door a few months later. We both worked for Rockline radio show for several years. He also helped decorate my wedding in 1996. He was always in the kitchen with me. Richard always expressed his talents for he had an amazing eye for detail. He was a fabulous artist. Our deep love for music bonded us. He was a great friend, An amazing friend. I love you Richard!

Richard: what can i say. I loved him and he knew it and he never hesitated to remind me of that. I will miss his smile and his beautiful laughter. Sometimes people come into your life and immediately shine a light in your heart. Richard was this kind of person and i'll always be a better human for having known him. The thing that strikes me most, looking back, is how much we laughed together and how much love he always brought to our family, and for this i'm eternally grateful.

Well If you know Magdalena and me we don't do aything without giving it everything we possibly have and that goes for taking care of a someone who we truly love. Richard was very special to me. He was my son and I loved him as though he was. When He got sick his mom was there to reassure him that everything would be ok! But when it comes to your body, no one can determine the time or day that God calls us home. I have learned through this surreal experience just how important it is to take care of your body. I feel that Richard, Magdalena, and me all had H.I.V. because we fought this terrible disease 1 day at a time. we had some good days but more often we had the bad days. Richard was a fighter, that's why he lived so long, being as sick as he was. I will always remember his smile and his way af being "BITCHY" together that made up a Whole Richard I will miss him!

Richard was a creative soul who will be missed. A fellow gemini with duality in his nature. He made my beautiful bouquet for our wedding, assisted his mom with our lovely wedding decorations and flower arrangements, and painted both our bedroom and garage. Forever young in our memory he will remain.

I still can't believe you're gone. I know we lost touch over the years, but I never forgot about you cousin. To know you is to love you Tony! I'm glad my children were able to meet you. They said a prayer for you that night. I can remember natalie saying "It makes me sad that you are sick, and I want to cry" that broke my heart, and it just shows how much of an impact you had on people, and you will never be forgotten. Till we meet again..Rest in Paradise..xoxoxo

Tony, you are leaving us with a lot of inspiration and we will miss you so dearly. When I first went to see you I wanted so much to make you better, because that isn't how you were to live your life. I wanted to tell you just get out of bed and walk but you couldn't and I saw the frustration in your eyes. I will miss you so much, I know we weren't close but we were close enough. On this day that we will be celebrating your life I will with your cousins walk in HONOR of you for a cure to that terrible disease that took you ~ R~I~P

It was but by chance and the grace of God that I got to meet Richard, Magdellena, and Kirk through a friend of a friend that was involved with a chairity fund raiser that I was attending. It was at this event that I offered to help in any way I could, and few days later Magdellena called and from there a bitter sweet relationship was born. Bitter in sense of how we had to meet, with Richard being so sick and sweet because I got to meet 3 wonderful human beings, that I now consider my friends. My heart goes out to this family in their time of loss but I am confident something wonderful will come of this. Richard I wish I had got to know you when you were well. But, other plans were ment to be. I pray you rest in peace my friend and please know I am here to help your Mom and Kirk in anyway I can. I look forward to working with them both in the future in the fight againist this horrible disease and the lack of care that is available here in Las Vegas and in this Country. God Bless. Till we meet again....

Tony, You were always more to me than a cousin. You were my big brother, friend, confidant and most of all inspiration. Those years we lived together we bonded in so many ways. You opened my eyes to music and the arts more than any school. I felt lucky to roam LA with you and discover new worlds. It was always a great time when you were around and always wanted to be just a little older to enjoy more. I looked up to your many talents and confidence to grab every ounce of life and run. Most importantly, you showed me there are many ways to live and love. Thank you for it all and for trusting me enough to share it. Knowing you suffered at all breaks my heart and makes me wish I could have done more. I'm sorry we ever lost touch and hope to see you again in my dreams. I'll love you always and never forget your smile, your laughter or your sass!
Love,
Julie

Words can't express how much my heart hurts rt now...I kept wanting and trying to share my feelings and thoughts with you, but I couldn't because it would make me realize that you're really gone.....I still don't want to believe it! But I know you are in a better place now where there's no more pain, resting with grandma and grandpa in paradise. I'm really glad you were in my life Tony...I will never forget our trips to the beach, mall, and everywhere else you would take me to. I know you never got to meet Trin, but she would of loved you and you would of loved her! I'm glad Omar got to know you and I hope you seen the pic he drew for you in the hospital of the aliens fighting off a meteor! :) Thank you for being more than just a cousin to me! I will always love you....until we meet again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Richard is...... Someone you could always count on.
someone who always showed you he cared.
If you were having a bad day, Richard was there.
To help you get through all you strife and despair.
Richard lived a great life, making the best of each day, always smiling along the way.
To all who are mourning, don't be sad on this day.
Please try to remember Richard in this way.
Richard is with you in everything you do or say.
Richard is the cool breeze running through your hair.
Richard could even be the blank look on the face of a stranger who stares.
He"s the shadow standing beside you on the ground.
He's that little voice in your head speaking to you softly when no one is around.
he's the loud noise you hear or some funny sound.
He's the angel shaped cloud you see in the sky.
He's the little fleck of dust that falls out of no where and lands in your eye.
So to all his loved ones and friends.
Believe in your heart and know this is Richards special way of Just dropping by.
Love Dad & mom
Kirk & Magdalena
