Obituary of Milford "Buck" Ernest Buckner

Milford "Buck" Ernest Buckner, age 87, of Las Vegas, died Saturday, March 18, 2017, of natural causes. Buck was born July 31, 1929 in Kansas City, KS to Ernest and Lola Buckner. He joined the Marine Corps at 18 years of age, where he had 2 hitches and was an honor man. After serving in the Marines, he worked for the Los Angeles Police Department for 13 years, where he worked homicide and narcotics, and then started his own security company in Southern California. After this, he opened a nationwide credit reporting company for the mortgage industry. Buck loved playing golf, and was a two term president of Lake Arrowhead Country Club. He also enjoyed fishing and going to boxing matches in Las Vegas. He was able to visit Scotland and golf at a prestigious course that was one of his dreams. He is survived by his wife Mary Lee; five children, 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in California at a later date. We love you Dad, you are the greatest.
