Obituary of Norma Joyce Wilensky

Norma Joyce Wilensky, 89, a 63 year resident of Las Vegas, died Thursday, February 9, 2017. Norma, the youngest of nine children, was born in Minneapolis MN to the late Louis and the late Anna Reiter. She, along with her husband Phillip and son Frank, owned Phil's Salvage-Builders Emporium, 1131 S. Main Street. Norma was a very warm, kind and generous woman. She was one of the original members of Temple Beth Sholom and was involved in their Sisterhood/Women's League, was a life member of Hadassah and supported numerous charitable causes. Norma loved mah jongg, travelling, loved to play KENO and video poker machines at the Gold Coast, where she was an original club member. She also loved to read and enjoyed animals, especially dogs. Norma is survived by Terri Wilensky Genzer, daughter; Robert (Bob) Genzer, son in law; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and two granddogs. She is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Phillip, their son, Frank and all of her siblings. A funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Temple Beth Sholom, 10700 Havenwood Lane, Las Vegas, NV. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Las Vegas.
