Obituary of Nancy Ellsworth Ober

Nancy Ellsworth Ober, of California, New Jersey, and Nevada, peacefully passed away surrounded by loving family on December 29, 2016 at the age of 68. Nancy was born on Feb 6, 1948 in Palo Alto, CA to Helen and Clark Ellsworth. She attended Woodside High School, College of San Mateo, Chapman College World Campus Afloat, Montclair State University, and earned a Master's Degree from William Patterson College. While earning her undergraduate degree at Chapman World Campus afloat, she met her husband-to-be, Bob. Nancy's lifetime as an artist, educator, and athlete was always characterized by love for her family and her students. After retirement from full-time teaching, she enjoyed working as a substitute teacher, while also hiking and biking with friends and family in the Red Rocks Canyon and Mt. Charleston areas. Nancy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bob; her sister Ruth Hagan; her brother Donald Ellsworth; and, her sons, Keith and Kevin. A celebration of Nancy's life will be held in Las Vegas on Thursday, January 5, 2017. Contact Bob Ober if you would like details on the time and place, which are still being finalized.
