It was such a privilege and honor when several years ago Chuck and Wilma were passing through Tuscaloosa, Alabama. They contacted us and treated my sisters and I as well as our husbands to a wonderful time of fellowship and supper at the Cypress Inn, located on the Black Warrior river. Afterwards we enjoyed some time together in their RV before they were to leave the next morning. Such a loving couple and we so appreciated their reaching out to us for that special time together! Wilma is a first cousin to my father Byron Meyer. Precious family, just learning of Chuck's home going and my heart goes out to each of you. He has left you a wonderful legacy that will continue to live on through each of you. God bless one and all. Love in Christ - Karen

I am so sorry to hear that Parkinson's has taken Chuck. He put up quite a fight! He was such a wonderful man and married to such a wonderful woman! He was lucky to have the wife he had who would follow him to the ends of the earth. Such a great couple with so much love. I know there will never be another one like him. It seems impossible that I've known you since the 80s when we bowled together in Canoga Park! You really left a lasting impression. All my love, Leslie Fitzgerald

It was an honor to lead a Celebration of Life Ceremony for Church Pennington, a loved church member of St. Andrew Lutheran Churc. Chuck and wife Wilma have raised a wonderul family with whom I had the privilege of praing and soeking on Churchk's service. C. H. Spurgeon (June 1834 – 31 January 1892) wrote,
"A good character is the best tombstone.
Those who loved you, and were helped by you,
will remember you. So carve your name on hearts,
and not on marble."
With thanksgiving for the life Charles Pennington and the friendship of the Pennington family.

So very beautiful. Your parents' life story is such a tribute to the way that life can be...should be. I am very glad that my own daughter Callie and I got to stop and visit Chuck and Wilma in August and saw the hummingbird. Chuck's posture was proud and "tall" in his wheel chair, and We knew we were in the presence of a special man and woman. Dave was very sad and quiet the evening we learned of passing. He said the grew to connect in later years. May God give you peace, and your family give you comfort. Love always, niece and nephew, Dave Tibbitts and Patti

Such love and devotion in your family. You have all been blessed by the love and support of your mother and father. You four, Rich, Linda, Mary, and Brenda, honor them with the way you have lived your lives, unconditionally loving your fellow man. There is no greater tribute. May Our Loving Savior Give You Peace.
