Obituary of Deborah Rose Ortega

Debbie, Deborah Rose Elisarraras Ortega, 63 years old of Las Vegas, Nevada passsed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of December 11, 2016. At her bedside was her devoted husband of 48 years (Frank Ortega). Debbie was born on January 10, 1953 to Johnny Elisarraras and Karen Hutchison in Atascdero, California. Debbie later met her husband and best friend Frank Anthony Ortega in Santa Barbara California and married on March 15, 1969. Debbie and Frank moved to Las Vegas in 1978 with their two children Karen Downs and John Ortega. Debbie later began working in the casino industry during the growing years of Las Vegas. Debbie's primary success was opening several of our now distinct bingo parlors and will be missed in the bingo community. In the mid 80's Debbie made a career change and became a manager of McDonald's. This is where she mentored and changed the lives of many young adults and to this day refer to her as "mom". Debbie is survived by her loving husband Frank Ortega, daughter Karen Downs (Jean Paul) of Santa Barbara California, son John Ortega (Denise Ortega) of Las Vegas Nevada, grandsons Isaac and Andrew Ortega, grand daughters Mariah and Marissa Ortega and Islah Rae downs, great grandsons Andrew and Noah Ortega, siblings Sheryl Rood, Becky Cortez, Gloria Rivera, Theresa Munoz, Lisa Salgado, along with many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father Johnny Elisarraras, her mother Karen Hutchinson, and sister Rebecca Ramos. Along with her loving companions Tio and Tia (dogs). Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. A funeral service will begin at 6:00 PM. Both will be at Kraft-Sussman Funeral & Cremation Services, 3975 S.
