Obituary of Sheldon "Shel" A Schaffer

Sheldon "Shel" A Schaffer, 80, a 22 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away November 11, 2016. Shel was born April 22, 1936 in Chicago IL to the late Harry and the late Mary (Galper) Schaffer. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and then enjoyed a variety of careers, including being the co-owner of Stylar, which manufactured the interior of motor homes, owner of an upholstery factory in Southern CA and, for the past 30 years, as a real estate agent and broker. Shel is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elaine Schaffer; children Mark (Lisa) Schaffer of Chicago and Robin (Steven) Breckner of Las Vegas; grandchildren Scott and Emily Schaffer of Chicago and Jake and Julia Breckner of Las Vegas; sisters in law Judith Schaffer and Celia Farkas and brother in law Danny Farkas. He is predeceased by brother Marshall Schaffer, sister in law Helene Farkas and brother in law Robert Farkas. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Ste. 104, Las Vegas, NV 89147.
