Obituary of Patrick Francis Davis, Jr.

Patrick Francis Davis, Jr., age 81, of Las Vegas, died Friday, August 19, 2016. Patrick was born December 5, 1934 in New York NY to the late Patrick and the late Margaret (O'Leary) Davis. He attended Clinton High School, where he was captain of the diving team, never losing one of his 44 meets. Patrick served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He had a career as a bus driver with the New York Transit Authority, being honored as Bus Driver of the Year. Active in his community, Patrick served as Chairman of the Bazaar of the Parish St. Nicholas of Tolentine, was active with fundraisers for the New York Foundling Hospital and a coach for Little League. He also found time for his interests of diving, swimming, tennis, touch football, jogging, dancing and performing clown diving shows at the Mirmar Swimming Pool. Patrick is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margaret Davis; children Chris Davis and Keith (Sheila) Davis ; grandchildren Mitchell Davis, Shannon Davis, Christina Davis, Shane Davis and Brady Davis; great grandchildren Jayden Davis, Adrian Loya and Christopher Faulkner; sister Margie Mallia; nieces and nephews Stephen Mallia, Michael Mallia, John Davis, Patrick Davis, Kelly Dallura, Kim Fuino, Ed Davis, Cory Davis, Todd Davis, Drew Davis, John Brannick, Bobby Bellando, Scott Bellando, Linda Bellando and Rick Bellando; and pets Lucky, Lassie, Ashley and Gina. He is predeceased by brothers John Davis and Tommy Davis. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive, Las Vegas, NV. Interment will follow at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran's Memorial Drive in Boulder City on Monday, September 12 at 2:00 pm.
