Obituary of Richerd Carlos Owens

RICHERD C. OWENS Rick Owens, 84, of Las Vegas, passed away June 29, 2016. From 1951-1953 he served in the United States Navy. He was in the airline and travel agency business most of his life. Rick loved playing volleyball, softball, camping, hiking and fishing. He enjoyed watching UNLV football & basketball games and rooting for the Seattle Seahawks. On September 19, 1979 he married Nancy Owens and he was a devoted husband to Nancy for 35 years. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Edith Owens and his son Don Owens. Rick is survived by his wife Nancy; brother Gordon (Kathy); sister Dixie; sons Michael and Patrick Owens; daughter Kelly (Bill) Simon and step sons Chuck and Gary Taylor and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be at 12:40pm on Monday, July 18th at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery , 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans in Richerd’s name.
