Obituary of James Alan Solomon

James Alan Solomon, 32, passed unexpectedly on April 13th, 2016. He came into this world with his twin sister on September 8, 1983. James, along with his sister and two younger brothers, was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, by his two loving parents, Mark and Barbara Solomon. He graduated with honors from Bishop Gorman High School in 2001, before attending the University of Nevada, Reno, where he joined the fraternal brotherhood of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. In 2005, James relocated back to Las Vegas and graduated from the National Bartenders School of Las Vegas in 2006. In 2013, he moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where he met and fell in love with his fiancée, Lucé Luz. He was currently attending the College of Charleston as an honor student, seeking a degree in psychology. James had a brilliant mind, an endlessly loving heart and an enormously generous spirit. He will be deeply missed by those he has left behind. James is survived by his parents, Mark and Barbara Solomon; his siblings, Jordanna (Ross) Evans, Daniel and Alexander Solomon; his nephews, Rylan and Jake Evans; his grandmother, Eleanor Guzman; his aunts and uncles, Marci (Jerry) Fuccillo, Kathleen Beard, Warren and Rob Guzman; his fiancée, Lucé Luz; and, many cousins and other extended family members who all loved him greatly. James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerome and Geraldine Solomon, and Alfred Guzman. A visitation will take place on Sunday, April 24, from 1:00-2:00 PM, at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Dr. #104, 89147. A memorial service, celebrating his life and many accomplishments, will begin immediately following, at 2:00 PM. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
