Obituary of William Bernhard Schmidt

William B. Schmitt (Bill) 1938-2015 William "Bill" Schmidt, 77, a resident of Las Vegas, passed away Aug. 19, 2015. He was born May 4, 1938 in Albany, New York. Bill was a proud father and genuine man who raised four children alone. He loved his sons and daughters with all his heart until his last days. He was a U.S. Army veteran who retired from Union Pacific Railroad. He was a longstanding member of the Sons of the Revolution. He is survived by his daughters Laurie Myers and Katrina Thelen, his sons Ray Schmidt and Kevin Schmidt, his sister Barbara Schmidt Gleason, his brother Carl Schmidt, and 12 grandchildren. Memorial service and burial will be at 12:40 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4 at Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran's Memorial Ave., Boulder City, NV 89005.
