Obituary of James Anthony Carcioppolo

James Anthony Carcioppolo "Carcy" died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on February 8, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 63. Jim is survived by his mother, Angelina Carcioppolo, Willowick, Ohio; wife, Debra Carcioppolo; children, Jennifer Seitz (son-in-law, Matthew Seitz), Christie Sanders (son-in-law, Brian Sanders); grandchildren, Stella and Ava Sanders, Madison Seitz; siblings, Salvatore Carcioppolo, Jennifer Kruse, Mary Velotta, Debra Marchiano; sister-in-laws, Cheryl Saxon, Joyce Prosser, Connie Carcioppolo; brother-in-laws, William Saxon, Steve Kruse, John Velotta; Jim was also blessed with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Salvatore Carcioppolo. Jim was born on June 26, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio to Salvatore and Angelina Carcioppolo. He graduated from North High School in 1969. He married Debra Bradick, from Parma Ohio in 1975. Jim worked throughout the Cleveland area as a journeyman plasterer. His company, Carcy Exterior Systems, was in operation in Northeast Ohio for over twenty years. Jim was a passionate, caring individual who loved spending time with his family. Whether it was at home, at 324, or at Pawnee, Jim always had a quick sense of humor that made him the life of the party. Jim was a huge sports enthusiast and loved watching the game. He was also an athlete who loved competition and excelled in many sports throughout his life including softball and golf. Jim was a dedicated member of the Willowick Golf League for 30 years. He also enjoyed watching the horse races, win or lose, he loved the challenge. A private memorial service is scheduled for February 10, 2015 at Kraft Sussman Funeral Services. Father Tom Montelaro will officiate the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice (nah.org) in memory of Jim. The family would like to also thank Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada for their exceptional dedication and care. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jim's life at a gathering in Willowick, Ohio on Sunday, March 1, 2015.
