Obituary of Herman Roth

On Tuesday morning, March 30th, 2010, our dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, mentor and friend, Herb Roth, was released from the bonds of this world to be with G-d in the next. Herb was a decorated and honored veteran of World War II and Vietnam who was deeply proud of his country. We, in turn, are extremely proud of his service to this land and its people. He was an active member of his community and a generous friend and neighbor to all whom his life touched, never failing to offer a helping hand and a kind and supportive word. He turned strangers into friends within moments of meeting them with his warm humor. Greatest among his distinctions, he was dedicated to his family, selfless in his devotion to us, and truly was our backbone, support, and dear love. His enduring love is still felt by those of us who adored him; he will be forever missed. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 7th at 10:30 am at the Lakeside Event Center in Desert Shores, 2620 Regatta Drive, 89128. Herb retired as a Command Sergeant Major from the US Army. Interment will be with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery.
