Obituary of Sidney B. Rosenman

Sidney "Sid" Bernard Rosenman, 85, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away March 13, 2010. He was a loving husband, father and "great" friend. He was a Corporal in World War II and then serviced as a Captain for 15 years in the Army Reserves. Sid received 3 medals during his time of duty; The American Campaign medal, World War II Victory medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign medal. Sid managed May's Department Store in New York for 25 years. In addition; Sid was a past Commander of the Jewish War Veterans of Las Vegas Post 711. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Karol and 2 daughters: Gayle Scott and Susan Rosenman, and step-daughters: Barbara-Ann Markus-Caffrey and Dawn Karol. He is predeceased by his first wife, Phyllis Rosenman. Services will be held on March 16, 2010 at 12 p.m. at Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV. The family will be sitting shiva after services and from 5:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Donations in Sid's memory can be made to Congregation Ner Tamid in Henderson, Nevada. He will be greatly missed and loved by all who knew him.
