Obituary of Sydney Silberman

Sydney Silberman died March 1, 2010 at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas NV at the age of 90. Sydney Silberman was born in New York City on Nov. 29th 1919. His parents were Adolph and Gussie Silberman. Sydney has two sisters Elsie Pavia and Helen Goldberg. Sydney was a veteran of World War II. After the service he went to NYU and married to Irene Silberman on June 19th 1948. He worked for Goldman Sachs on Wall Street, retired in 1982 and moved to Las Vegas. Sydney was an avid philatelist and lover of classical music. He is survived by his children, Sue Ann Riccio and Carol Epstein of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Evan Scutero and Scott Epstein of Las Vegas, Amy Sheridan of Reno NV; great grandchildren, Lincoln, Sampson and Regan Scutero of Las Vegas and Jacob and Ben Sheridan of Reno NV; two sisters, Helen Goldberg of New York and Elsie Pavia in Florida; niece Rita (Michael) Brodish of Las Vegas and great-neices, Lauren and Allison Brodish of Las Vegas. Sydney will always be remembered as the sweetest, most gentle man who always shared a smile. BEST DAD EVER. He will be missed by all who knew him. A funeral service will be held at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd in Boulder City, NV at 1:20 PM on March 3.
