Obituary of Marjorie Antoinette Zappa

Marjorie Anntoinette Zappa, age 73, of Las Vegas, passed Thursday, March 21, 2013. Marjorie was born July 29, 1939 in Akron OH, to the late Anthony and Lucille (Harvey) Pronio. In 1991 Marjorie and her husband Anthony moved to Las Vegas, and for the last four years she worked as a crossing guard. She loved to go shopping with her daughters, work crossword puzzles, and work in her garden. Marjorie volunteered with the Knights of Columbus Consul 14144, cooking for pancake breakfasts, church bake sales and on St. Patrick's Day. Marjorie loved working with children and was a community volunteer at Assistance League LV. Marjorie is survived by her husband of 55 years Anthony Zappa; two daughters Ann Zappa of Las Vegas NV and Rhonda Chernay of Irving TX; mother Lucille (Harvey) Pronio; brother James Pronio of Akron OH; grandchildren Walter Chernay of Irving TX, and Nicholas Chernay of Irving TX; and great granddaughter Lilly Erickson. Marjorie is predeceased by her daughter Jacqueline Marie Zappa and son Anthony Alan Zappa. A memorial service will take place at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, April 9, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S Torrey Pines Dr, Las Vegas, NV. .
