Obituary of Harold Stilson Burt

Harold Stilson Burt, age 86, of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at his home. Harold was born December 19, 1926 in Evanston IL to the late Harold Frank and the late Edith Mabel (Skyrum) Burt. He served in the Navy during World War II and then went on to earn his PhD in engineering. He worked as a Mechanical, Electrical and Robotic engineer and invented a number of patents in his career. Harold enjoyed creating and operating model airplanes. He also loved to sail and in his youth, could often be seen racing his boats on Lake Michigan. Harold is survived by his daughters Sherry (Joseph) Lynn Rivard of Las Vegas and Wendy (Thomas) Dust of Merced CA; grandchildren Angelique (Christopher) Wright, Matthew (Lizbeth) Radefeld, Brittany Dust, Tommy Dust, Patricia (Adam) McKelvy and Rebecca (Rocky) Crugar; and great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Radefeld, Henry Wright, Holden Radefeld, Olyvia Radefeld, Stevie Wright, Madelyn Crugar, Tyler Crugar and Cameron Crugar. A service is being planned for a later date in Illinois.
