My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Nicole. I may not have actually known him but through our many talks I felt like I did. For a daughter to talk so highly of her Dad says so much about him.
Much Love...

Nicole, my family's thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Losing a parent is the most difficult thing to deal with it.
I can only remember meeting your dad once, it was a Saturday night and I was with Chris Molnar and Scott Rodgers. We stopped at your house on the way to drop me off at mine. I just gotten into a fight with Jimmy Schober and my hands were bleeding and so was my lip!!
You cleaned up the cuts, but before you did, we were in your kitchen and your dad passed through with a look on his face, he didn't need to say anything!!
I am not overly religious, but when my mom died, a friend of hers was talking to me and said something that stuck. "Let go and let God", it makes sense if you think about it.

My thoughts & prayers are with all of you during this very difficult time. My dad & Mike were the best of friends since they were little boys & I remember Mike as part of my family when I was growing up. All the stories I heard my Dad tell about them growing up together with him,Sylvie,Anthony,Steve & Vic made me laugh out loud. I can't tell you how many times Mike "fixed" my car when I drove a little too fast as a teenager growing up on LI ;)
My Dad passed in 2002 & I know that they are together now & have the best seats in the house the next time the Yankees play!! Luv you guys xoxoxoxo

time with all of you.

Dean Rubino posted a condolence
Throughout our lives and through the footsteps of our journeys there are many that have an everlasting effect in mentoring or touching our hearts that we take with us as we move forward. As we grow we never forget what has been instilled in us from that one special person.
Michael Rubino my father, my friend, mentor and hero has given me so much to teach and share as I move forward without him. He had a selfless heart, always preached about tradition, honesty, respect, morals and most of all family. He never quit in whatever he did whether he failed or not...he had an inner strength that words cant describe and till the end fought throughout his suffering days just to hold on a little longer for his children, grandchildren and most of all the love of his life. One would find themselves engulfed by his passion whether you were interested or not. He had a knack for putting a smile on your face whether from a joke or a kind word or just plain old being mike yelling and getting all crazed about something. Either way you laughed at him or with him. He was my mentor, teacher and friend and I am the man I am today because of him. His stories will live on through my daughter and nephews and to whoever wants to listen. What I will miss most is our talks about life, baseball and the Yankees. For the many that have been in his presence during a game knows there was never enough remotes in the house to break. Lol!!
Dad you are my angel from up above, and with you by my side nothing seems impossible cause you left me so much to carry on and for that I salute you.

As a child i spent a lot of time in the Rubino house and I always remember Mr. Rubino playing jokes. One in particular was when he would go around a corner and pretend some stranger was in the house grabbing him by the throat and scare the crap out of us... that and the infamous exploding remote against the television! To my first little league coach God bless you and your family you will be missed.

Mike what can I say, you were more like a brother than an uncle. I wish that we had spent more time to together, unfortunatley the distance precluded us from doing that. Please know that the Menechella family will continue to pray for both you and your family. Save me a spot at 3rd base on the BIG TEAM, miss you already!
