You were at my home for dinner the night I was born. I always knew the guy on my record cover was our friend and I had the pleasure of talking with you a few years ago while I was writing a book about my life. It was great you remembered everything and I loved all of your great stories. I'm sorry to hear of your passing. I will listen to "Baubles, Bangles And Beads" and think of you. Rest in Peace my friend.

My Dear, Sweet, Crazy Uncle Eddie. You were one-of-a-kind and Blessed so many with you music, love and craziness. You were a wonderful brother to my mom, Aunti Rosy and Aunti Edith and Baba appreciated you so much. The only boy of 3 girls, you left your mark on this world until the very end. I will miss you tons but I take comfort in the fact that you have a welcoming committee up in Heaven.
Norma,I am so thankful you blessed his life in so many ways. You were a wonderful wife and the sisters all loved you so much! You kept Uncle Eddie in line, which he definitely needed and were a light in his Life. Thank you for all you brought to him and your lives together.

I have so many memories of my Uncle Eddie. The phone calls he used to make to my dad when he worked at Caesar's Palace and the laughter that ensued. I was never allowed to hear those jokes. The time my uncle decided he would teach me to drive, that only lasted a few minutes. The stories about his life, which were many as he had a long full life. I bought Yankee Doodles the other night for me, Jon and the kids, (my mom used to get those every time he came to visit us in NY as those were one of his favorite treats). We will all miss him so much, with love Tami

To my dear "Uncle Eddie" My folks had me call you "Uncle cause that's what we did back then. You were my Dads' band mate & our next door neighbor in River Vale N.J. Your son, Brian became my brother & you my Uncle. Later in life you & Norma were so great with my mom & your phone calls to her meant so much, they gave her so much joy & believe it or not it helped me too because although I loved my Mom like crazy, it gave me a little break from the chaos of her dementia. I can't thank you enough for those calls. You're jokes & sense of humor were great. You & Norma both did a very important something for me & my wonderful Mom. I'll never forget your kindness & patience. Love, love, love you & thanks to you both for the levity ! I'll miss hearing your voice Uncle Eddie XXOO. Gradie

I FIRST MET EDDIE SHORTLY AFTER I MOVED HERE IN 1979, IT WAS AT KNPR.
EDDIE WAS ONE OF THOSE WHO YOU LIKED AT FIRST MEETING.
WHEN I LEARNED OF EDDIE DOING HIS "JAZZ TRIP" SHOW, I BEGAN
RECORDING THEM EVERY SUNDAY NIGHT. I HAVE MANY SHOWS THAT I WILL TREASURE ALWAYS.
NOT BEING ABLE TO GET AROUND, I WILL HAVE TO MISS THE SERVICE, BUT I WILL BE THERE IN PRAYER.
YOU AND EDDIE WERE THE PERFECT PAIR, I'M VERY GLAD YOU FOUND EACH OTHER AND COULD SHARE YOUR HAPPINESS WITH EACH OTHER AND WITH SO MANY.
I WILL GREATLY MISS EDDIE. EDDIE CREATED HAPPINESS FOR SO MANY THROUGH HIS PERSONALITY AND TALENT. I, BEING A FORMER ON AIR TALENT, PLAYED MANY OF HIS RECORDINGS (KIRBY STONE 4)
BACK IN THE 60'S - AS WELL THE 90'S.
MAY THE GOOD LORD COMFORT YOU NORMA IN THESE DIFFICULT TIMES. ALWAYS KNOW YOU ARE LOVED BY MANY.
NORMA, I TOOK THE LIBERTY OF PASSING THE WORD ON TO MANY LOCALS.
Love,
Dan G. Peluso

I never had a biological brother, but though we had different parents I've always considered and thought of Eddie as my true brother and closest friend. I can say without resevation that we loved and respected each other as brothers would. He was a unique person and it was always such warm friendship and fun to be together. I will miss him greatly.
Rest in peace Eddie. We'll catch up again in the future, providing we both go in the same direction.
Our love to Norma, I know how much she'll miss you as we all will.

Eddie was around our house hanging out with my mom and dad (Frank & Mina Capp) from as far back as long as I can remember. Whenever mom would fix a particularly large salad for dinner she'd point at the bowl and say that it was a wedding gift from Eddie. Eddie and Norma and my folks spent more time together than most families - visiting each other in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, going to jazz concerts whenever they could and taking lots of trips together. They spent many hours sitting in my dad's den listening to old LP's and sharing stories over drinks. Eddie had the greatest laugh and was warm and caring. I'm sure that he and my mom are having a good visit right about now.

Always finding the happiness in life, my uncle was always a bright lite in my life. When times were tough he was always there to lift my spirits. He was my uncle, my friend and one of my biggest supporters. He will be sorely missed.

May God bless you Eddie, my favorite cousin and Internet poker partner. I will miss you and our weekly calls and your visits to my home over the past few years. You were wonderful to me in my younger years and great with Norma to me in my later years with Chris. I'll never forget you. I can't because I have Brian here every day to remind me of you. You are in a better place now. Just like Chris , no more pain and suffering. Rest in peace, my dear cousin.

My Dear Dad,
We have had our ups and downs. But I never doubted your love for me. As a child one of my greatest joys was getting to travel to be with you in the summertime. While i was too young to be allowed in the many clubs you played you always would get me a birds eye view in the lighting booth.I will never forget the the laughter and joy that you brought to so many people with your wry sense of humor.I'll never forget the gut wrenching laughter of the audience as you delivered your punchlines with your impeccable sense of timing. You used to say timing was everything. This is just one of the many things you taught to me that has helped me throughout my life.( and all the while you thought i wasn't listening ha! that jokes on you cause i was!)I am so very happy that we were able to put our differences behind us and that during the last few years really get to enjoy spending the time we had together. Words cannot express to you how you will be missed in my life.I would just like to tell you one final thing because i know you will hear it.
" Because of You
I am me. Without
you I would be a
shadow of what i am.
Shadows are night."
I love you Dad, You will always be with me.
Your loving Son,
Brian
