Patrick was a wonderful, wonderful human being. When ever we spoke his laugh and joie de vivre ALWAYS made my day.
I will be having a glass of the Dingle Gin he gifted me and reflecting on our friendship tonight.
My condolences to Bill and rest of Pat's family. He will be missed.

Hello, this is Luan (Witt) I just found out Pat was taken by the fairies to spend time with my mother in heaven. Pat worked for my dad, a farmer, for several years. He was an unofficial member of the Witt family. My dad taught Pat to ski at Lake Maloney, NE. And then Pat taught my sister Mary and brother, Mark to ski. I skied almost every weekend with Pat at my side. He will always be the most loving, kind human being I will ever know in my lifetime. My heart is broken.

I met Patrick 20 years ago, he was like no one I’d ever met. His intelligence, laugh, smile and energy were both dynamic and infectious! Patrick started out as my mentor, then became my peer and was always a trusted friend!
Patrick you are forever in my heart and will always be remembered!

On Saturday I lost my best friend, Patrick Shaughnessy. Pat was the kind of guy that everyone wanted as a best friend. He would do anything for you. He was a calming, rational voice when things were out of control. He could make me appreciate the things I never take the time to recognize or appreciate. He did it all with a sense of humor, sincere warmth and caring, and with a big smile and hearty laugh. He will be missed by the many people he brought together with his hospitality and friendship. Thank you Pat.

The world was a better place with Patrick in it and people were better people as a result of knowing him. I had the good fortune of knowing him and working with him for over 25 years and my heart breaks as we lose someone who laughed large and loved mightily. Rest in peace my dear work husband and friend.

Patrick positively impacted so many of our careers and lives as a mentor, confidant and friend. His smile, storytelling and memorable laugh lit up every room he walked into.

My deepest sympathies for the loss of a special and talented man. I enjoyed nearly 20 years working with Patrick and was lucky to be on the same team with him for 5 years. We had a lot of fun and learned so many new things together. He had a big impact on hundreds of leaders. Rest In Peace dear Patrick. You made a difference to the world.

With sympathy and prayers of comfort and peace to Patrick’s family and those whom he loved so dearly. It was a joy to work with Patrick as Suzanne has so eloquently described. My funniest memory of Patrick connected to his classroom storytelling, which usually started with “MY DADDY SAID” … LOL… thank you for the laughter and knowledge you shared with all of us.
