Laurie, so sad to hear about Jim. We were a bit of Batman and Robin in the mid 60's (since he had the Mustang, he was Batman). We had some good times together. On my 21st birthday, fresh from flunking out of college, we were having lunch debating what I should do with my life. He suggested I should join the police force. Just then the door to the joint opened and the Air Force recruiter shack was across the street. I told him I'd rather join the AF than the PD. A month later I was at Lackland AFB starting out what turned to be a 29-year career. He is missed.

I am going to miss Jim so much! I can hear him now saying something about people not understanding hockey and then claim the Islanders rule! Jim and Laurie or Laurie and Jim! You could not have one without the other! He was friend, hockey comrade and a mentor! You will be missed.

So sorry about his passing. Jim and Laurie were big supporters of the Las Vegas Thunder. Truly a great man. Rest In Peace Jim.

Jim cared about his employees. He sounded gruff but wasn’t at all. It was just his voice. He made the best carrot cake cupcakes in the world. He knew I was fibbing when I told him all my hubby wanted for his birthday was the cupcakes. It was me that was addicted to them. He would always be patient when I sang happy birthday to him. I hope heaven is everything you want. Bless you. It was no accident we gave you more things to make cupcakes for your birthday. Thank you for giving me the recipe.

I first met Jim through the Las Vegas Thunder Booster Club. We spent lots of time together at the club table, sharing laughter and I got to hear all about his bride, Laurie. Jim was truly a gift, and the friendship Tim and I shared with Jim and Laurie is one of the treasures of our lives. Jim is loved and missed.
