We were very sad to learn of Pete's passing. He was a bright light. A wonderful man with such engaging mind and personality. We all enjoyed spending time with Pete. Eric recalls very fondly our days together in Seminole. Family gatherings with Meriam and Deborah and Elaine. And fatherly advice at the ready. The Lipmans were without a doubt our family, especially in those days living away from our New England family.
Subsequently Eric and Michele's whole family enjoyed the visits he and Elaine made several times to the cottages on Baxter Lake in Farmington, New Hampshire. Long lovely days sitting and talking, enjoying the classic Lipman gin and tonics. And the fishing. Our children loved fishing with Pete. They loved learning from him and they loved his playful way of conversing with them.
The world is certainly a good deal darker without Pete. He is loved and missed.
