Obituary of Phillip Anothony Hernandez

Phillip Hernandez, 55, beloved father and husband, went home to be with the Lord on 5 April 2022 after a short battle with lung cancer. Phillip’s family was unprepared for this unexpected loss.

Phillip was born in Fresno, California. He grew up in East Los Angeles, in the area of Montebello. He graduated from Garfield High School.

In late 2004, he met his beloved wife Nancy, and they wed on 4 June 2005. In Feb 2006, Phillip and Nancy were blessed with the birth of their twins, daughter Alexandra (Lexi) and son Tristian. He is also survived by his oldest son Joseph and grandchildren Aiden and Ellie.

He was an electrician by trade, with several unique skills and job opportunities that gave him the ability to meet people in a lot of industries.

Phillip was also an avid martial artist. He practiced Jeet Kune Do, created by Bruce Lee. Philip was a passionate teacher and participant in the martial arts arena, which led to his amateur mixed martial arts (MMA) fighting for a little over a year at the age of 40.

Philip was a strong, kind, loving and supportive father. The greatest joys were his family whom he loved spending time with, his menagerie of dogs, to include his pet rat, and his Savior Jesus Christ.

A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, 16 April 2022 at 1:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1002 Burkholder Blvd, Henderson NV 89015.
