Obituary of Joseph Cohen

Joseph Cohen, age 90, of Las Vegas, passed away Monday, October 15, 2012. Joseph was born August 27, 1922 in Bronx, NY. He is the son of the late Morris Cohen and the late Isabella (Valdez) Cohen. He was married to his beloved wife, Vicky Korvin, for 63 years, until her passing in June 2011. Joseph served his country in the Army, and was employed as a jeweler. He enjoyed stamp collecting, loved listening to classical music, was an avid reader and enjoyed the library. He is survived by his daughter, Fern Cohen of Las Vegas, NV; his son, Michael Cohen of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and his sister, Estelle (Valdez) Contino of Brooklyn, NY. The funeral will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Boulevard, Boulder City, NV with burial immediately following. .
