Obituary of Sylvia Hayman

SYLVIA RUTH HAYMAN Sylvia Ruth Hayman, 84, of Henderson, NV passed away Monday, January 31, 2022. She was born June 29, 1937 in Bronx, NY to Sol and Sonia. After moving to Los Angeles, in 1951 and attending Fairfax High School, Sylvia married Leon Levin and raised two sons in the San Fernando Valley, divorcing in 1974. Sylvia then moved to Westlake Village where she met and married Sandy Hayman until his passing in 2006. Throughout Sylvia's professional career, she was in the banking industry and spent her retirement years in nursing. She enjoyed performing in theater, being in the Red Hat Society and performing for patients in hospitals as "Patches the Clown." Sylvia was always smiling, happy and enjoyed going on cruises and seeing the world with family and friends. She is survived by her two sons, David Levin and wife Cindy Levin and Jeff Levin and wife Karen Levin; granddaughter, Kristen Levin; brother, William; and niece, Jeanette Smith Primm. Sylvia was predeceased by sister, Beatrice Smith; and nephews, James Smith and Mark Y. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 4, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.
