Mark Seglin

Obituary of Mark Ira Seglin

Mark Ira Seglin, age 57, of Las Vegas, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021.  Mark was born April 27, 1964 in Chicago, IL to the late Roy Edward Seglin and the late Saundra Carolinn Seglin.  Mark was a locksmith by trade since the age of 15, most recently working in the wholesale supply end.  In the past he worked as a general contractor.  Some considered him a Jack of all trades, Master of men.  Mark enjoyed   working with children. He was a high school wrestling coach for 11 years and helped to change many lives. His dream was to own a 1963 Corvette Stingray Split window, which he never got the chance to own. He enjoyed helping people without expecting anything in return. He was the most giving and honest person you would ever meet, even though he tried to have a gruff exterior. He touched a lot of lives in our community and was too humble to realize what he meant to all of them.  Mark was a very humble, knowledgeable and funny man. His humor was interesting, to say the least. The knowledge he possessed knew no bounds. If he didn’t know, he always seem to know where to look for an answer. Mark is survived by his wife of 34 yearsTeresa (Teri) Seglin of Las Vegas; children  Steven Seglin, Benjamin Seglin and his fiance,  Breanne;  grandchildren Oliver Roy and Maevis Markie, Jessica Steele and her husband,  Hayes Steele, Jr.;  grandsons  Hayes James Steele III and Hunter Jameson, Sean Seglin and his fiance Yiru Bei; and dogs  Tiny and Ginger.  The funeral service was held at Bunker’s Memory Gardens Cemetery in Las Vegas on September 14, 2021.
