Obituary of Lisa Marie Fournier

Lisa Marie Fournier, age 56, of Las Vegas, died Monday, October 18, 2021 after a valiant nine-month battle with head and neck cancer.  Lisa was born September 4, 1965 in Tucson, AZ to Paul Graitge and JoAnn Graitge.  Lisa attended Bonanza High School in Las Vegas and the University of Utah. She married James Fournier on June 6, 1992 at the Nellis Air Force Base Chapel in Las Vegas, NV.   Lisa worked as a homemaker, home-educator, and military wife, never retiring.

 

Lisa had a passion for sewing and traveling.  She was an avid figure-skating Mom, who was involved in figure skating clubs from Virginia to Pennsylvania to Ohio.  Lisa was well read and well versed in current affairs.  Those who knew her will miss her witty sense of humor, her generosity of time, her amazing sense of direction, and her passion for providing tours to all who visited her while living in Europe and the U.S.  She was an inspirational home school mentor and an incredible friend, whose mission and purpose was mama and wife.

 

Lisa is survived by her husband of 29 years, James R. Fournier; children Jennie Fournier, Kate Fournier, and Joseph Fournier; parents JoAnn Graitge and Paul W. Graitge, Jr.; siblings Paul W. Graitge, III (Elaine) and Kathryn Noall (Bill); nieces Madeline Graitge, Charlotte Graitge, Rebecca Noall, Sara Noall and Rachel Noall; and aunt and uncle, Kathleen and Noel Fuente.

                                                           

Services will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5830 Mesa Park Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89135. Visitation/Vigil will be on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 10:30 am. Memorial donations in Lisa’s name may be made to Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA.org).
