Obituary of George W Ligus

Born in Philadelphia, George W. Ligus passed away peacefully in Las Vegas May 26, 2021. 

George was a 1960 graduate of West Philadelphia Catholic High School for boys.  He served in the United State Army and was stationed in Germany, while there he toured Europe on leave.  His work career included Tele-Dynamics in Philadelphia and Roche/Boehringerin various locations until his retirement. George was a past member of the Las Vegas gunning club and the photography club of Sin City. He loved taking pictures of horses. George was in service of helping others for 42 years.

George is predeceased by his wife Mary, his parents George W. Sr. and Sophie Ligus.
He is survived by his brother Raymond Ligus (Vermont) his sister Catherine Ligus Hasselberger (Florida). Ruth Myers of Las Vegas. His stepson Mike Piper and family (Texas) his stepdaughter Debby Nolen (Florida). Nieces and nephews a host of friends and his beloved cat Jack.

There will be a celebration of his life Saturday October 23, 2021 at Summerlin Church, 2100 Snow Trail, Las Vegas at 10 AM.
