Alvenia Allen

Obituary of Alvenia Dudley Allen

Alvenia Dudley Allen was born on October 21st 1941 in Eudora, Arkansas. She and her three siblings, Norman Jr, Flenard & Jurleen were born to Norman & Ophelia Dudley. Her father, Norman Sr. was determined to keep his family safe and provide them the best opportunities, and Nevada was the destination he chose for this purpose. It is here in Las Vegas where Alvenia met John Allen Jr. and they married April 5th 1960. Alvenia gave birth to five children in total; two daughters, two sons, and one stillborn daughter. Alvenia was a homemaker and managed the household while her husband John worked for Silver State Disposal. Alvenia and John created many memories with their children through fishing trips and many family gatherings. She was widowed in 1998 after the passing of her husband John. Alvenia was a devoted, kind and steadfast wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and caretaker. She blessed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with love and care. Her love for others reached beyond her own family, as she had a big heart for kids and took care of many children in her local community and within her family and friend circles. Throughout Alvenia's life, she always loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her favorite scripture being Psalm 118:24. "This is the day the Lord has made. Let is rejoice and be glad in it." Alvenia is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior. She is survived by her brother, Norman Jr, her four children, Donna, Glenn, Stanley & Melissa, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Although we rejoice that she is no longer suffering in the body, and is with our Lord, she will be missed
