Scott Press

Obituary of Scott Andrew Press

Scott Andrew Press was born Sept 3, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York. The family moved to Southern California when he was 9 and Scott grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Scott was a computer wizard. He was an engineer at heart and always wanted to know how things worked. He knew about computers long before anyone even knew how turn one on. He was also a HAM radio operator and spent many hours with friends who shared his hobbies. If there was a gadget, Scott had it. He was one of the smartest human beings you would ever meet. Scott's computer genius took him to work in IT for Packard Bell, Director of IT at JB Dental, Countrywide Mortgage, and finished up his career at Bank of America as a systems architect. Scott was deeply rooted in his faith and Judaism meant so much to him. He was fluent in Hebrew and went to Israel several times to visit family and friends. At one point, he wanted to move there, but life took him in a different direction. Las Vegas was the last place Scott called home near his mom and dad. Scott was a gentle giant and a big teddy bear at heart. He will be missed by his parents, Norma and Norman; his sister, Lynda; brother in law Steve; Nephews Bryan and Steven Meyer; and family around the world and many wonderful friends. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas. .
