Obituary of Keoratsamy Munivong

Keoratsamy (Keo) Munivong, age 60, passed away on February 22nd. She was born in Laos in 1960, growing up in during the difficult times of the Vietnam War. After the war ended, she immigrated to the US in 1978 to find a more peaceful land. Shortly after immigrating she met her soon-to-be husband, Frank Munivong. They married in 1980 and have enjoyed 40 long years together. Keo was a dedicated mother and wife, first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. No matter what life threw at her, Keo always put her family first. She showed us what unconditional love really means, especially through those truly tough times. She taught us that forgiveness is what makes our family bond stronger. Keo was a simple lady, finding happiness in the simplicities of life. Always keeping a tidy house, she was prepared to greet friends and family with her delicious traditional Laotian dishes. She was never one to let them leave without full bellies and laughing smiles. Though Laotian dishes were her pride, she would occasionally sneak in a Big Mac, Fries, and a Coke (her all-time American favorite). Keo is survived by her husband Frank; four children - John, James, Janice, & Jessica; five grandchildren - Frankie, Lennox, Amelia, Ronan, & Everett; four sisters - Khamchan, Mickey, Bounthai, & Khaopone; two brothers - Vankham (Mone), & Ky. She is received in the after life by her sister Leurn and brother Oudone.
