Obituary of Louis Azar

Louis Azar, age 79, passed away on January 25, 2021 in North Las Vegas. Louis was born August 6, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA. He grew up with his 3 brothers Peter, David, and George. The brothers were raised by their mother, Garnet, and stepfather, William, who was in the US Navy. They moved around as a Navy family and even lived on Guam. After graduating from Point Loma High School, Louis joined the US Navy as a radioman. During his time in the Navy he also received an associate degree in pre-engineering from Tidewater Community College and would serve in the Vietnam War. He was awarded a Navy Commendation Medal with Valor and a Vietnam Campaign Medal. He retired after 23 years of service as a Master Chief in 1980. Louis is survived by his wife Neri; daughters Deborah, Michele, Jennifer, Maricel, Neri Louise; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and brothers Peter and David. He is predeceased by his brother George and son James.
