Obituary of Mary Madonna Russell

Donna Russell (Mary Madonna Aucoin), 84, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Nashua, NH, lost her life on the evening of December 31, 2020, after a brave and valiant fight against complications of COVID-19. Donna was born and raised in Port-au-Port, Newfoundland, attended college in Cornerbrook, Newfoundland, married the love of her life, Herbert Lee Russell, and moved to the United States where she proudly obtained U.S. Citizenship in 1962. Donna is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Herbert Lee Russell, her son, David Lee Russell, and her sisters, Helena Richards, Dulcie Wolfson, and Hilda Mongeon.

Donna is survived by her sister, Mrs. Sylvia Crocker of Port-au-Port, NFLD, her Brother-in-Law, Harry and Bonnie Russell of Las Cruses, NM, her children, Tina (Dennis) Goode of Las Vegas, NV, Peter (Elena) Russell of Richmond, VA, Hilda Russell of Las Vegas, NV, and Jane (Edward) Wallis of Fredricksburg, VA, along with her grandchildren, Melissa, Derek, Sheena, Russell, Haley, David, Michael, Jana and Robert, and her great grandchildren, Cadence, Temperance, Preston and Ryan, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She will be missed by all.

During this time of the Corona Virus Pandemic, we do not wish family or friends, whom she loved so much, to travel or congregate. A Funeral Mass celebrating Donna's life will be held in the Spring/Summer of 2021 at St. Joseph Husband of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Las Vegas, NV. Kraft Sussman Funeral & Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.

During this pandemic, we ask all to be vigilant and cautious with this contagious, virulent and, for far too many, deadly virus. Please, in memory of Donna and the 349,397 precious American lives lost to COVID-19 this past year, wear a mask, wash your hands, practice social distancing - - we all have to do our part to protect those we hold dearest.

May all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
