Obituary of Vahan Sabou Derbabian

Vahan S. Derbabian, 73, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on Monday December 14, 2020. He was born in Hartford, CT. son to the late Charles and Alice (Pagdikian) Derbabian. Vahan graduated from Buckley High School and went on to graduate from Morse Business School. He served his Army training at Fort Bliss, Texas from August 1968, serving an additional 6 years in the Army National Guard with honorable discharge on November 1973. Vahan worked for the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation for 36 years where he met his wife of 47 years, Gloria. Vahan is survived by his wife, Gloria (Richard) Derbabian and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law June and Paul D. Richard and niece Sarah A. Richard all of Glastonbury, CT. Vahan was predeceased by his Godchild and nephew David C. Richard of Vernon, CT. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Vahan's honor. Per Vahan's request, no services will be held.
