Obituary of Stanton Franklin Carroll
Stanton Franklin Carroll passed away on November 10, 2020. Born in 1945, he was a graduate of Lafayette College, where he played football, and Temple University Medical School. He was a general and thoracic surgeon, beloved by his many patients, was additionally trained in critical care and ran the trauma unit at Einstein Northern Hospital in Philadelphia for many years. After a ski accident in the early 1990's, he gave up surgery and transitioned into hospital administration, and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to be the Medical Director of University Medical Center. After retirement, he focused on his hobbies, woodworking and golf. He also travelled the world with Shelley, his wife of 50 years. He loved his family greatly and was forever grateful that he got to spend more time with them once he retired. He is survived by his wife Shelley, their three children Aaron, Nancy, and David, and his six grandchildren. Contributions in Stanton's memory may be directed to Temple Beth Sholom.
The funeral service will be held graveside at noon on Thursday, 11/12/20, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1500 Las Vegas Boulevard North, Las Vegas, Nevada. It will be streamed via Zoom for those who cannot attend.
