Obituary of Sidney David Martin

Sidney David Martin, age 76, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009. Sidney was born February 8, 1933 in St. Louis, MO. He is the son of the late Bernard and the late Sophie (Nodiff) Martin. A 43 year resident of Las Vegas and North Las Vegas, Sidney retired after a career in the gaming industry, working primarily at the Sahara and the Westward Ho. Sidney loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved to travel, cook, watch the St. Louis Cardinals, play board games and smoke cigars. He was an incredible friend to those close to him. He is survived by his daughter, Candra (Terrell) Evans of Las Vegas, NV and his son, Joel (Leah) Martin of North Las Vegas, NV; grand children Hally Martin, Joel Martin, Jr., Brianne Martin, Jake Martin, Benjamin Martin, Reina Martin, Skyler Evans, Madison Evans, and Rebecca Evans, all of Las Vegas; and brother, Benjamin Martin of St. Louis. A graveside service will be held at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery in Chesterfield, MO. .
