Obituary of Norman Glenn McCormick

Norm was born April 22, 1956 in Alexandria, VA. He moved with his family to Southern California when he was 8 years old, where he lived until moving to Las Vegas in November, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Hauer) 2 sisters: Cathy Bisaillon and Julie Wellington, 1 nephew: Keith Bisaillon, 2 nieces: Carolyn Bisaillon and April Bell, a grand nephew: D'Angelo Sutton, a grand niece: Aaliyah Sutton, and his 2 dogs Dixie and Coco. He was preceded in death by his father, Liness Glenn McCormick and his mother Jewel Virginia (Adams) McCormick. As a young boy, Norm loved to bowl. He earned many titles and trophies over the years, and at one time considered turning pro. He graduated from Pacifica High School in Garden Grove CA in 1974, and received his Associates degree in accounting from Golden West College in Huntington Beach, CA. He was always working starting at age 16, and his most recent job was in QA at Bankruptcy Management Solutions in Irvine, CA. He loved baseball and had season tickets for many college and minor league teams over the years, including: Cal State Fullerton Titans, UC Irvine Anteaters, Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, and the Las Vegas 51's. He also attended the Arizona Fall League for 18 of the 19 years it has been in existence. Norm was an avid reader, and made a habit of reading the newspaper cover to cover every day. He loved to read history books of the state he was living in. He then loved to travel by car, and investigate some of the places he would read about. He always took "the road less traveled". Those of us who knew Norm will remember him for his endless sense of humor, his appetite for debate, and his rich network of friends that he formed over the years.
