Obituary of Esther Sherwood

Esther Babajian Sherwood, 84, passed away on July 29, 2012, at home surrounded by her loving family, after a brave 5-1/2 year battle with multiple myeloma. She is survived by her children, Michael Ansley, Cheryl Hogan, Tricia Ansley, and Lisa McLaughlin and her husband Dan, as well as adoring and adored 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sisters Vicky Finley and Maggie Anderson; brother, Moses Babajian; many loving nieces and nephews; and last but not least her beloved cat, Tux. Esther is predeceased by and rejoicing in heaven with her much-loved son, George Ansley; sisters, Helen Savoian and Liz LeGault; brother, Bob Babajian; and parents, Ruben and Anna Babajian. Esther had a loving heart and sense of humor that left a long list of friends both in Las Vegas and So. California with broken hearts. Her family would like to extend their special thanks to Nevada Cancer Institute and Dr. Deauna-Limayo; and their love and graititude to the living angels at Nathan Adelson Hospice who for the last year filled Esther's life even fuller with their loving care. Esther's family would appreciate donations in her memory to Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas. At Esther's request, no formal services are planned. A memorial celebration will be held in early Fall in So. California.
