Obituary of Richard Tadashi Furuya

Richard Tadashi Furuya, age 88, of Las Vegas died Friday, October 23. Richard was born November 13, 1920 in Kamuela, HI. He is the son of the late Rokuho and the late Chiyono (Mizukami) Furuya. He was employed as a machinist for the US Navy. Richard is survived by his wife: Frances Yaeko(Nishikawa) Furuya; daughter: Lorraine Bergen of New Market, VA and sons: Alan (Anne) Furuya of San Jose, CA, Gary (Linda) Furuya of Tampa, FL, Richard (Suzie) Furuya Jr. of Arnold, CA; Brother of one sister: Doris Furuya of Honolulu, HI and one brother: Raymond Furuya of Honolulu, HI; step son, Andrew (Susan) Nakata of Las Vegas, NV; and step daughter, Charlene Kerr of Brea, CA; grandchildren Debra Bergen, David Bergen, Amanda Furuya, Mai Rose Furuya, David Furuya , Shannon Furuya, Bryant Furuya, Lindsay Furuya, Kevin Kawaguchi, Scott Kawaguchi, Scott Nakata, Trisha Ichiyama, and four great grand children. He was predeceased by his step daughter, Caroline (Kouki) Kawaguchi. A memorial service will be held in Los Angeles, CA.
