Obituary of Perry Luis Cohen

Perry Luis Cohen, age 83, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012. Perry was born September 30, 1928 in Chicago IL to the late Leo R and the late Irene (Daniel) Cohen. Perry served in the Navy for seven years and then worked 35 years as an engineer for IBM. During his employment, he lived in Miami FL and Van Nuys CA, prior to moving to Las Vegas in 1992. Perry enjoyed operating ham radios. He was a ham radio operator for the Los Angeles Police Dept., worked security for Sun City Summerlin and was a volunteer for Metro and Temple Bet Emet. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anita Cohen; children Alan (Elizabeth) Cohen of Las Vegas, Jerry Cohen of Las Vegas and Scott (Tanaya) Cohen of Kent WA; grandchildren Aaron, Brandon, Dylan, Codie, Anthony, Megan, and Rachiell; and great grandchildren Katrina, Derek, Nicholas, Ryan, Jason, Rylee, Aryanna, Jacob, Stephen and Mason. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV. A private interment will be held at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. The family will sit shiva at their home from 1:30-5:00 PM on Wednesday, after the service.
