Obituary of Richard "Dick" J Gaudette

Richard "Dick" Gaudette, age 68, of Las Vegas, NV and formerly of Nashua, NH, died peacefully Saturday, June 16, 2012. Dick was born May 6, 1944 in New Orleans, LA as the seventh of eight children to the late Edward and the late Madeline (Comeau) Gaudette. Dick served proudly in the Marine Corps and had a long career as a manager in computer operations for Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA. Dick was an expert pool player who ran a pool hall at an early age and won many tournaments and leagues throughout his life in New England and Las Vegas. More than anything, Dick liked to surround himself with good friends and family, good music and a happy cheer. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Gaudette; children Rick Gaudette of Saratoga, NY, Timothy (Marjorie) Gaudette of Andover, MA and Chris Gaudette of Melrose, MA; grandchildren Kayla and Alison Gaudette of Andover, MA; siblings Yvonne Dannahy of the Villages, FL, Cecille Lemieux of Henderson, NV, Edward (Beverly) Gaudette of The Villages, FL, Philip (Claire) Gaudette of the Villages, FL, Teddy (Terry) Gaudette of Troy, VA, Jeanne Gaudette (Ray Champagne) of Weymouth, MA and the late Francis (Gaudette) Doody. Visitation hours will be held at Kraft & Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 South Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 3:00pm to 4:30pm with a ceremony immediately following. A reception will follow at McMullan's Irish Pub, 4650 West Tropicana Avenue, Las Vegas, NV. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dick's memory may be made to The Caring Place, 4425 South Jones Boulevard, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV.
