Obituary of Ernesto Spassmacher

Ernesto "Teddy" Ricardo Spassmacher, age 84, a 53 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Teddy was born June 29, 1927 in Buenos Aires to the late Elias and the late Leonore (Morel) Spassmacher. Teddy attended the ORT school in Argentina and was trained as a percussionist. He became a renowned bongo player, traveling the world with his art. He spoke seven languages. After his musical career, he worked as a dealer for the Dunes and then the Continental Casino. Teddy is survived by his wife, Sonia Spassmacher, of Las Vegas; daughter, Raquel Spassmacher, of Argentina; stepson Erik Waters and his wife Michelle of Las Vegas; granddaughters Briann and Sara Waters of Las Vegas and many close friends. Funeral and service will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1500 Las Vegas Blvd North, Las Vegas, NV at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, March 7, 2012.
