Obituary of Florencia Paden Lewis

Florencia Paden Lewis, age 70, of Las Vegas, died Sunday, February 12, 2012. Florencia was born May 12, 1941 in Koloa, Kauai, HI to the late Donato and the late Maria (Guaves) Paden. She joined the Army after turning 18 and served for three years, along with five of her friends. While there, she attended a clerical school, and after discharged, continued to work in clerical positions at Pearl Harbor Naval Exchange. After marrying James A. Lewis Sr., she raised four children and moved to a number of communities along with James's military career. Florencia loved sewing, and being with the family. She is survived by her children Jamie ( Jorge ) Lewis Perez of Newark, NJ , James A. Lewis Jr. of Las Vegas NV , Jody A. Lewis of Las Vegas NV and Jerri ( Roland ) Pascua- Aganon of Las Vegas NV ;seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild and her siblings; Sophia Cagalawan and Ernesto Paden, both of Kauai, HI. Private services are being held.
