Uncle Maurice though you always lived miles away and when I did get to see you a few times over the many years you left a great impact on me. Though your and Auntie Barbara visits in the area were short, after you were gone, the energy that you had spread around, the suggestive travel tips, and the remarkable attention you gave made me feel very special. Uncle Maurice you were like a motor you kept going (You and my brother Jake) the whole time you were last here. You treated me as if I had been around you all of the time. Uncle Maurice you were one of my favorite people. I think what made me love you even more is the fact that you loved Auntie so much and showed her a good life. Rest in peace Uncle for we shall meet again. Auntie will be just fine because you have left her with a love that will only keep her strong. Love your Niece Lillian

This is a song that Auntie Barbara used to listen to over and over. It was around the year of 1959 (I kind of remember because I was 9 years old then) When Auntie used to have me come down while she listened and cried.(smiles) Uncle Maurice was away and Auntie was waiting for him to come get her and take her back with him. The link will not work in this message, however, you can cut & paste it into your browser. Beautiful song.

Wishing all peace and joy. When you have a rough day and no one is aroiund just listen for the angels. They wil be near and will be saying the things that you want to hear, like, love is forever and life is not gone because the memories and the sprit live on. Even on the worst days I hope you find comfort in knowing that even the angels must be smiling up there because Mo is there among them and he's trying to get them to visit Boulder with him. Love You Guys,
JK (Unc)

I feel like I have lost a blood brother and I know for sure that I have lost a "brother-in-Christ". Again he is first to accomplish something marvelous between us since he is present with the Lord before me. This world is a bit better because he was here. He touched my life over the 39 years we've known each other; while we were in the USAF and long afterward. Goodbye my brother!

Farewell to Pops, my play dad and a great guy. I still remember our trip to Hong Kong. You, mom and I chose to eat at McDonalds instead of the market food. We three laughed about how far we traveled to eat McDonalds food. I still have the photo. Such a smart man! I'll truly miss him. May you rest in peace dad.

Dear Daddio,
It’s difficult to know that you’re gone because there are so many things that I’ll miss about you. I’m going to miss the little things that you’d do like how you’d always make me breakfast even on a Saturday or how you’d make potato soup when I sick. I’m going to miss your voice on the phone when I’d call up from work and you’d answer “WASABI!†I’m going to miss our conversations when you’d talk about world events and how you’d usually have an opinion of whatever was on the news. And I’m going to miss the time together we spent, just the two of us like at the Super Bowl parties.
But most of all I’m going to miss a loving father.
I Miss you & I love you,
Your baby girl,
Marzio

"Uncle" Maurice was always one of my favorite family members to visit. I still remember bringing my toys (mostly a bunch of My Little Ponies) over to the house in the Sandia foothills and Uncle 'Reece always playing with me and keeping me safe from Chico. I was sad when they moved away, being our only local family.
Cousin Barb, my thoughts are with you Marcia, and the boys. I know Uncle 'Reece is at peace now. Love you all so much.

Granda-da,
My grandfather was an amazing person with such a kind spirit & loving heart. When I was 7 years old, I came to visit my grandparents' Las Vegas home all by myself. Needless to say, I was spoiled rotten. One night, they took me to the strip to see a lights show and I had brought with me a beloved stuffed bear named Lucky. Distracted by the lights, I forgot my friend somewhere along the line and as we were walking to go home my heart sank when i realized I'd lost him. My granda-da took one look at my face & knew who I'd forgotten. Taking my hands in his he said "Okay, we have to pray really hard & ask God to find Lucky." So I closed my eyes tight & pressed my palms together, pleading for Lucky's return. I opened my eyes & in my grandfather's hands was my little beige bear. Although at the time I'd simply thougth my prayers answered, I know now he was a gaurding angel looking out for his loved ones. I love you granda-da x

I have many fond memories of Maurice. He was the best cousin in the world. I'll remember our discussions fondly, because he was so knowledgeable about so many things. A good man has left us, and he will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure to spend time with him.

I knew and admired Sheffie for many years. He was a dear friend to me. I valued his judgement, compassion, and friendship. Being a fellow Redskin fan we watched a number of football games together. We also enjoyed a few beers together with or without a football game on TV. During my 20 years I knew Sheffie I never once saw him judge or criticize anyone. He was a good, kind, gentle man full of compassion and love. I will miss him dearly.

To me his name was "DAD",and i was "TEDDY BEAR". I came to meet him years ago through his daughter Marcia who was a coworker. The Sheffield family welcomed me in as i was part of the family. Dad, with that genuine smile, and that heart of his that ran so deep.He always amazed me with the smile he put on the kids face, while sitting back drinking his coke. R.I.P DAD

Although “Pops†was not my biological father, he treated me, and I always felt, as if I was his daughter. He was quick to tell me when he was proud of me and on occasion…… let me know when I disappointed him.
There were a few things you could always count on with Pops, a good conversation, the occasional debate and a competitive game of Cards (Spades being the usual game of choice). While we would end each occasion with a winner declared, somehow we kept track of who was ahead from previous sessions. And then there were our back patio chats that we always found time for.
I will miss him dearly and will cherish the 18 years I had as his daughter.

He always had a smile on his face when we visited him! Always loving all of us and never had favourites. He was a caring man who reached the love of his family and his friends. Even though me my mom dad and sister live so far away, we would be thinking about him 24/7. At least he is in heaven, not in pain and with God. Look after him Lord and take good care of him.
Amen x
